Troubleshooting Guides for iLaw users

  • I try to log in to iLaw and a message says "SA Connection Failed"

When you try to login to iLaw and the message shows ‘SA Connection Failed’ the iLaw workstation cannot connect to the Database on the server. This guide looks resolving the potential issues. You are advised that you may need to enlist the help of an IT professional.

  • When I log in to iLaw a message says "No Licences Available"

This issue can be because the number of iLaw users have iLaw open than the iLaw license allows. If you click on Housekeeping-Support-View License usage from the iLaw toolbar you will be able to see from the Connected Clients section (scroll down the screen) how many people are logged in by counting how many iLaw 'Run times' there are compared to the Quantity Installed in the Installed Licenses section.

Having no iLaw license may also be a result of your PC not being able to obtain a license from the License server that is situtaed on the server of PC that holds the database. This can be due to security software on your PC or on the server. Please call us during office hours to set up a remote session.
