 | | iLaw Immigration Module For over ten years the Anya team has been committed to implementing the changes made to Immigration Law in their legal aid software. The changes issued by the Legal Services Commission are made simple to follow and always introduced on time. The iLaw Immigration and Asylum module is fully compliant with the graduated fee scheme changes introduced in October 2007 and all updates made since including the validation changes for submissions made after 9th November 2009.
Immigration and Asylum claims
Immigration Legal Help work can now be claimed as a stage 1 Fixed Fee. Immigration work that has been certificated for full representation can be claimed as either a Stage 2a fixed fee or Stage 2b fixed fee. This is determined by the user when time recording. Reported Costs are still claimed for matters with certain matter type codes. The Matter Type 1 and 2 codes are selected when an Immigration matter has reached the stage when it requires billing. iLaw has been updated with the validation rules introduced in November 2009 so you will be warned or prevented from making an incorrect entry for your monthly submission.
It is easy to make claims for additional payments such as fees for attendance at the home office interview or Representation at the CMRH. Immigration Fixed Fee and Reported Costs claims can be checked on the Immigration CMRF screen before creating a SPAN file for submission.
Connection to iLaw Accounts
The totals for claims raised are posted into the iLaw Accounts software with an invoice date set by you. These payments can be set off against standard monthly payment money which is either posted automatically or manually.
